HGV Class 2 ADR Driver

Job Title: HGV Class 2 ADR Driver Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Temporary with the opportunity of Permanent Location: Aberdeen Pay Rate: £21.15 per hour basic Hours: Monday to Friday- weekend working may be required The UK and Ireland's leading provider of industrial, medical, and special gases requires a HGV Class 2 driver with ADR licence on an ongoing basis. Key Responsibilities: * Ensuring the road worthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of the vehicle allocated. * Completing daily pre-use inspection check sheet for the vehicle and any specialised equipment that may be needed as part of daily work. * If necessary, operating special BOC equipment such as a forklift truck or crane for loading and unloading vehicles. * Applying defensive driving techniques, knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads to ensure the safe transit and delivery of cylinders. * Using safe cylinder manual handling techniques to deliver/collect cylinders to/from customers. * Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations. Requirements for HGV Class 2 Driver: * Working away from home is required * Possession of a HGV/LGV Cat C driving license. * ADR (Class 2 in packages) desirable; training will be provided where appropriate. * A driver CPC is required. * Adept knowledge of defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations. * Ability to interact with internal and external customers. * A high level of personal integrity would be advantageous. * Holding the LGV entitlement of your driving license for a minimum of 2 years, for insurance purposes.
