The Role – Semi Skilled Fitter / Mechanical Assembler As a Semi Skilled Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and complete assemblies in line with engineering drawings and company specifications. Key Responsibilities: * Assemble and construct complete mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings * Work from general arrangement and detailed engineering drawings * Ensure all components are correctly aligned using appropriate jigs and tools * Monitor build quality and ensure all parts are fit for purpose * Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process * Identify and report non-conforming or damaged parts to the supervisor * Ensure all work is fully understood before commencing final assembly * Complete builds within agreed timeframes and to required specifications * Maintain accurate quality and production records * Follow company procedures and comply with all health & safety regulations Shifts Available: Two day shift options available: Option 1 – 6:00am Start * Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 3:00pm * Friday: 6:00am – 11:00am Option 2 – 7:00am Start * Day shift (hours to be confirmed at interview) Early finish on Fridays. Skills & Experience Required: * Experience in mechanical assembly, fitting or engineering workshop environment * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Experience using hand tools, jigs and assembly equipment * Strong attention to detail and quality standards * Good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment * Reliable with good timekeeping This role would suit a Semi Skilled Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, Production Fitter or Assembly Technician looking for a stable day shift position.
