Job Title: Teaching Assistant - General Classroom Lower KS2 Location: Rugby Contract: Full-time, Term-time only We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team in Rugby. This role involves supporting teaching and learning within a mixed Year 3/4 class. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the curriculum Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning in English, maths and foundation subjects Provide additional support for pupils with SEND or those requiring intervention Assist with preparation of classroom resources and organisation of learning materials Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies Contribute to assessment activities and feedback where appropriate Supervise pupils during breaktimes or educational visits as required The Ideal Candidate Will Have experience working with primary-aged children (Year 3/4 experience desirable) Demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills Be patient, adaptable and proactive Have strong communication and teamwork skills Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
