Sales Developer – Marine Manchester - Permanent – fulltime – Days – Salary Up to £42k + Bonus (OTE £56k+) My client, a globally recognised engineering business is looking to appoint a Sales Engineer/Developer to support and accelerate new business across global marine markets. This is a technically led, consultative sales role, not transactional selling. Every product is bespoke, engineered to suit specific customer applications across defence, naval, commercial marine, OEM, and offshore environments. The Role: · Drive new business development (80%) while managing a small portfolio of existing accounts (20%) · Identify and develop new marine applications for materials and engineered solutions · Manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from initial contact to delivery · Engage confidently with engineers, procurement teams, and senior stakeholders · Deliver professional sales presentations both remotely and face-to-face · Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and leadership teams · Maintain accurate CRM data and contribute to forecasting and reporting · Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions, and international events The Person: · A strong engineering background (mechanical or materials science preferred) · Exposure to marine engineering environments (advantageous, not essential) · The ambition to move into or further develop a career in technical sales · Confidence, presence, and the ability to build credibility quickly · A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working with autonomy · Strong communication and presentation skills · A degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or a related discipline (preferred) Benefits: · 26 days holiday + BH · Private Healthcare · Enhanced Pension · EAP, Discount Hub If this role sounds of interest to you, apply to (url removed) today.
