Electrical Design Engineer

Role: Design Engineer / Design Manager Location: Halesowen (Office Based Full Time) Contract Type: Permanent Sector: Residential / PBSA (Student Accommodation) Salary: Competitive + Package Overview We are currently supporting a well-established building services contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Design Engineer / Design Manager to join their team at their Head Office in Halesowen. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual with proven experience within the PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) and residential sectors to take ownership of design delivery across a range of projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing the design process, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities * Manage and coordinate the full design process from concept through to construction * Produce and review technical drawings and design documentation * Liaise with internal teams, consultants, clients and contractors * Ensure designs meet project specifications, regulations and programme requirements * Provide technical support to project and commercial teams * Attend design meetings and contribute to project planning * Identify and manage design risks and opportunities * Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practice Requirements * Proven experience as a Design Engineer or Design Manager * Strong background working on PBSA and residential projects * Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams * Strong technical knowledge of building services / construction design * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines * Proactive and solution-focused approach Qualifications * Relevant engineering or construction qualification (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent) * Professional memberships beneficial but not essential What’s on Offer * Opportunity to join a growing and reputable contractor * Secure pipeline of residential and PBSA projects * Collaborative office environment * Competitive salary and benefits package
