Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision Pay: £90-£110 per day (short/long term temporary) Location: Stockton-on-Tees (Alternative Provision Setting) Start: After Feb Half Term Are you resilient, adaptable and passionate about supporting young people who need a fresh start in education? Veritas Education are recruiting Teaching Assistants for an established KS3-KS4 Alternative Provision that supports pupils who are not currently able to access mainstream school. The Role You will work closely with teaching staff to provide: One‑to‑one and small‑group support Assistance with emotional regulation and behaviour de‑escalation Encouragement and structure to help pupils improve engagement Guidance to help pupils rebuild confidence and develop positive learning habits Support with routines, boundaries and consistent expectationsThe setting supports pupils who may be experiencing significant challenges, including those previously excluded, managing anxiety, or displaying heightened emotions. The aim is to help students stabilise, make academic progress and reintegrate into an appropriate educational pathway.
