Teaching Assistant KS1

MATERNITY COVER - TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE, KS1 I am working with one of our partner schools based in Nottingham who are in need of a highly experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant, this role is to cover maternity leave. We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Primary School Teaching Assistants to support a range of welcoming primary schools. About the Role As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across Key Stage 1, Your role will involve helping to deliver engaging lessons, supporting individual and small-group learning, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment. Ideally highly experienced with phonics. Responsibilities Provide support to pupils 1:1, in small groups, or across the whole clas Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities Help set up and organise classroom resources Support pupils with SEND or additional needs Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain classroom routines Supervise pupils during transitions, break times, and activities Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning Work closely with teachers to support teaching and learning Requirements To apply, you must have: A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE/NCFE or equivalent) Recent UK school experience, ideally within a primary setting A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection Strong communication and teamwork skills A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Desirable Experience Experience with phonics programmes such as Little Wandle Knowledge of EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum Experience supporting SEND, EAL, or behavioural needs Experience delivering small-group interventions What We Offer Day-to-day, part-time, and full-time roles based on your availability Opportunities across a range of friendly primary schools Competitive Pay Rates Ongoing support and professional development Opportunities to progress into long-term or permanent roles How to Apply Email: (url removed) Call: (phone number removed) If you are a qualified Primary Teaching Assistant with recent UK school experience and a passion for supporting children's learning, please apply today.
