Vehicle Compound Operative

Job description: Compound Operative – Upper Heyford £12.21 per hour | Monday to Friday | Temp to Perm (12 weeks) We are currently recruiting Compound Operatives on behalf of a well-established automotive organisation based in Upper Heyford. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for stable, long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position after 12 weeks. Role Overview As a Compound Operative, you will be responsible for the safe movement, organisation, and basic checking of vehicles within a secure compound environment. Key Responsibilities * Moving vehicles safely around the compound * Parking vehicles accurately in designated areas * Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting damage * Updating vehicle locations using handheld devices or paperwork * Maintaining site cleanliness and health & safety standards * Supporting general yard and vehicle logistics operations Requirements * Full UK driving licence (essential) * Confident driving manual and automatic vehicles * Good attention to detail * Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions * Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Hours & Pay * Monday to Friday * £12.21 per hour * 8:00am to 5:00pm * 12-week temp to perm opportunity What’s on Offer * Long-term, stable employment * Opportunity to secure a permanent role * On-site training and support * Weekly pay during the temporary period If you are looking for a hands-on role within the automotive sector and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would like to hear from you
