Quality, Environmental & Compliance Team Leader

If so, this could be your next big career step. The Role We’re looking for a Quality, Environmental & Compliance Team Leader to join a leading manufacturing company in Carrington. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the site’s Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), support the wider Quality Management System (ISO 9001), and lead compliance initiatives, including responsibilities under the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations (PPWR). You’ll be the deputy to the QHS Manager, stepping in to lead the department when required, mentoring colleagues, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. This is a hands-on, varied position where no two days are the same, ideal for someone with solid QE&C experience who enjoys responsibility, problem-solving, and driving positive change. Key Responsibilities * Take full ownership of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), ensuring maintenance, audits, and continual improvement. * Support the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) through audits, shop-floor checks, customer complaint investigations, and improvement initiatives. * Lead compliance initiatives, including PPWR responsibilities, ensuring packaging meets regulatory and environmental standards. * Act as deputy to the QHS Manager, representing the department across the business and providing leadership when required. * Coach and train colleagues on Quality, Environmental, and Compliance processes, helping teams work confidently and effectively. * Support sustainability projects and promote environmental awareness across the site. * Prepare reports, stay up to date with legislation, and assist with certification and compliance reviews. What We’re Looking For * Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing/operational environment in Quality, Environmental, or Compliance roles. * 2+ years in a supervisory or management role with direct people leadership experience. * Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems, audits, and compliance. * Familiarity with PPWR regulations and packaging compliance. * Confident communicator, able to engage with colleagues at all levels. * Organised, proactive, and detail-focused with a hands-on, problem-solving approach. * Competent with Microsoft Office and familiar with root cause analysis/CAPA processes.
