Our client, a leading commercial engineering company, is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join their growing team. With a focus on designing, manufacturing, and maintaining bespoke products, they pride themselves on quality, innovation, and safety. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to make a real impact across all operations, from engineering and manufacturing to workshop and facilities management. Key Responsibilities: * Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s HSE management system to ensure full compliance with UK legislation and industry standards. * Conduct risk assessments, hazard management, and safety audits across engineering, manufacturing, and vehicle maintenance operations. * Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. * Design and deliver tailored HSE training programs to employees at all levels. * Manage site facilities, including maintenance, cleanliness, contractor coordination, and emergency preparedness. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety culture and sustainability practices. * Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable workplace practices. Key Requirements: * NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent (minimum). * IOSH membership or equivalent professional body. * 3+ years’ experience in HSE management, ideally within engineering or manufacturing * Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, environmental regulations, and workshop/machinery safety. * Proven experience in risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and developing HSE procedures. * Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence teams at all levels. * Proactive, organized, and passionate about fostering a safe and healthy workplace.
