A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the London Borough of Southwark is seeking an enthusiastic LSA to join their team on a long-term basis until July 2028. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning, and enabling them to achieve their full potential. 💼 Key Responsibilities * Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students across KS3 and KS4. * Support students with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural needs, or learning difficulties. * Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver tailored learning support in and out of the classroom. * Help implement EHCP strategies and behaviour support plans. * Assist students with classwork, revision, organisation, and emotional wellbeing. * Encourage positive engagement, confidence building, and independent learning. * Contribute to maintaining a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment. 📌 Requirements * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential. * Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Youth Mentor is highly desirable. * Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with young people. * A genuine passion for education and supporting student progress. * Ability to commit to the full duration of the contract (until July 2027). 📍 Location Secondary School – London Borough of Southwark 💰 Pay £13–£15 per hour (depending on experience) 🕒 Contract Long-term role until July 2028
