Category Lead (Construction & Housing) – London Borough of Ealing Salary: up to £77,664 Location: Ealing (Perceval House) Working pattern: Hybrid – typically c. 2 days per month in the office (otherwise remote) London Borough of Ealing is looking for an experienced public sector procurement specialist to lead the Construction & Housing category. This is a senior role within the Commercial Hub, reporting directly into the Assistant Director of Procurement, with real influence over strategy, stakeholders, and outcomes. The opportunity You’ll shape and deliver category strategy across a high-profile area of spend, driving value, managing key supplier relationships, and leading a team to deliver commercial outcomes that stand up to scrutiny. What you’ll be responsible for * Setting and delivering a long-term category strategy across Construction & Housing * Leading complex procurements and negotiations, securing savings and service improvements * Building strong relationships across the organisation and market to shape future sourcing * Leading and developing a team, embedding best practice in procurement and contract management What you’ll bring * Public sector procurement experience (essential) * Proven Construction & Housing category expertise (essential) * Experience leading a team and delivering category strategy end-to-end Interested?
