Freight Forwarder

FREIGHT FORWARDER TAMWORTH Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00. The Forwarding Operator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and execution of domestic and international road freight shipments. This role ensures cost-effective route planning, strong carrier partnerships, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle. Responsible for the end-to-end coordination of domestic and international road shipments, ensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities * Working within a busy road freight department as part of a wider operational team * Handling European groupage and full-load services * Arranging the movement of freight from origin to final destination (UK & Europe) * Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers * Managing shipments from booking through to delivery * Preparing and processing customs and transport documentation Skills & Experience Required: * Minimum 2 years' experience in European road freight or logistics * Strong understanding of road freight operations * Ability to manually calculate costs and charges, including taxable kilos * Experience with customs paperwork * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable: * Knowledge of TMS systems, TACO, Cabotage, and Mobility Package regulations. * Full UK Driving Licence
