Job Description Business Development Manager – Aviation Sales Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum + Commission + Benefits Swift Temps is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in aviation supply chain solutions for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or post-graduate based in Leeds or the surrounding area who is eager to build a career in a fast-paced, international environment. Full training will be provided. International travel is a key part of this role, so applicants must hold a UK or EU passport. Previous aviation experience is beneficial but not essential – what matters most is your work ethic, willingness to learn, and flexibility to travel. Job Purpose • Generate and secure profitable sales of aviation materials and services across assigned territories • Deliver high levels of service and compliance while building long-term customer partnerships Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities • Generate demand and pursue new sales opportunities • Deliver timely and competitive quotations aligned with revenue, margin, and risk targets • Source pricing for non-catalogue items via suppliers and internal teams • Close sales in line with company commercial policies and target margins • Manage ongoing customer relationships and long-term agreements • Collaborate with senior stakeholders on complex or large-scale proposals • Support the preparation of contracts and detailed commercial proposals • Align Finance, Operations, and other internal teams with customer commitments • Participate in dispute resolution with customers alongside the Regional Sales Director • Visit customers regularly to influence sales outcomes and achieve revenue goals • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and support forecasting • Document and manage leads and opportunities effectively • Manage Shared Service Centre resources for timely quotes and orders • Maintain professional communication throughout the fulfilment process • Meet performance metrics set by the Regional Sales Director • Support Finance with overdue payments and billing issues Performance Metrics • Generation of new and qualified leads • Achievement of revenue and margin targets KPI's • RFQ to Quote turnaround time • Customer satisfaction • Compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards Reporting & Collaboration Reports to: Regional Sales Director Works closely with: • Operations Director • Shared Service Centre • Regional & Local Operations Teams • Finance Team Candidate Profile • Proven interest in sales and business development • Aviation or aerospace background is advantageous but not essential • Understanding of procurement and sales processes (beneficial) • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities • Ideal for a motivated graduate or post-graduate eager to learn and grow Why Apply?
