The Role Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 Delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire a love of literature and language Planning, assessing and tracking student progress in line with school policies Working collaboratively within a dedicated English department Full time | Start date: March (maternity cover) Job Role Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential Experience teaching English at secondary level Strong subject knowledge across language and literature Ability to engage, challenge and support students of all abilities Effective behaviour and classroom management skills Qualifications & Person Specification UK-recognised teaching qualification with QTS Experience teaching KS3 & KS4 English Enthusiastic, reflective and well-organised practitioner Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing About This Client This Client is an 11-18 all-through secondary school and sixth form, with a positive Ofsted report highlighting: Strong leadership and a clear educational vision A calm, respectful and inclusive learning environment High expectations for both behaviour and achievement Positive relationships between staff and students The school places great emphasis on staff development and provides a supportive and collaborative working culture.
