Madison Reign is working in partnership with a large, mainstream secondary school in Southwark. The school is seeking a highly organised and reliable Cover Manager to join their supportive administrative and pastoral team. This is a long-term position starting ASAP, with strong potential to continue. Role: Secondary School Cover Manager 📍 Location: Southwark, South East London 💷 Pay: £15 – £17 per hour (depending on experience) 📅 Start: ASAP 📚 Contract: Long term July 2028 + Key Responsibilities * Managing the daily cover rota for teaching staff * Arranging short-term and long-term supply cover * Liaising with supply agencies and internal staff * Maintaining accurate staff absence records * Communicating cover arrangements clearly to staff * Updating SIMS/Arbor (or similar school systems) * Providing occasional lesson cover when required * Supporting senior leadership with administrative tasks * Assisting with general school office duties About the School * Large, mainstream secondary school * Located in South East London with excellent transport links * Strong and supportive senior leadership team * Well-established administrative structure * Positive and professional working environment Requirements * Previous experience as a Cover Manager, Cover Supervisor, or School Administrator * Strong organisational and time-management skills * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Confident using school management systems (SIMS/Arbor preferred) * Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) * Legal right to work in the UK * Able to reliably commute to Southwark This role is subject to: * Enhanced DBS clearance * Overseas police checks (if applicable) * Professional reference checks If you’re interested — or know someone who would be a great fit — please get in touch with Rodney at Madison Reign or click Apply Now.
