Technical Sales and Marketing Manager


Sales & Marketing Manager – Distributor Support & Channel Management c£45k | Tamworth | Office-based + International Travel Established UK manufacturer of industrial instrumentation selling globally through distributor and agent network. Full turnkey engineering and manufacturing solutions for industrial clients worldwide. The Role: Sales & Marketing Manager to work alongside experienced Sales & Marketing Manager supporting global distributor network. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role focused on enabling distributor sales success rather than direct selling or commission-based targets. Key Responsibilities: * Build and maintain relationships with distributors and agents internationally through face-to-face visits * Provide technical and commercial support to distributor network (£8m annual target responsibility) * Create technical collateral: product guides, datasheets, application notes, case studies, digital content * Manage website content, technical resources, and marketing materials * Support distributors with campaign activity, trade shows, and events * Process enquiries and route to appropriate distributors * Produce sales reports: pipeline, regional performance, activity tracking * Coordinate customer visits to manufacturing facility * Provide technical support on engineering and production capabilities Ideal Candidate Profile: Technical Sales Engineer, Internal Sales Account Manager, Business Development Executive, or Channel Sales professional seeking progression into strategic, relationship-based role with international travel and mentorship. Essential Requirements: * B2B sales or technical sales experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial equipment, or instrumentation sectors * Experience with technical, engineered products (specification and application-focused) * Background supporting distributors, agents, channel partners, or managing technical accounts * Ability to handle technical conversations about engineering and manufacturing processes * Strong relationship-building and communication skills across cultures * Willingness to travel internationally regularly * CRM systems, MS Office proficiency, basic digital tools (WordPress advantageous) NOT suitable for: General B2B backgrounds (packaging, FMCG, logistics), pure marketing roles, transactional sales, or non-technical industry experience.
