Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Central London and Surrounding areas Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to carry out planned maintenance, reactive repairs, fault‑finding, installation, and compliance work across commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have strong building services knowledge and hold all required commercial gas certifications. Key Responsibilities Planned & Reactive Maintenance * Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas appliances and systems, including: * Commercial boilers * Burners * Warm air units * Radiant tube heaters * Gas pipework systems * Diagnose faults and perform efficient, safe repairs. Required Qualifications Mandatory Commercial Gas Qualifications (ACS) Candidates must hold valid ACS certifications for commercial gas work, typically including: Core & Safety * COCN1 or CODNCO1 – Core Commercial Gas Safety Commercial Appliances * CIGA1 – Indirect Fired Heating Appliances * CORT1 – Direct Fired Heating Appliances * CDGA1 – Direct Fired Commercial Laundry Appliances (if relevant) * ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Pipework * TPCP1 / TPCP1A – Testing & Purging (Commercial) Desirable (but not essential) Additional Qualifications * CCN1 – Domestic Gas (useful for mixed portfolio work) * MET1 – Gas Metering * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating / Mechanical Engineering * F‑Gas 2079 (Refrigeration & AC) * Commercial Catering or Laundry ACS (if working in those environments) * Unvented Hot Water (G3) * Experience Required * Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer in FM, building services, or mechanical contracting. * Strong understanding of commercial plant rooms and wider HVAC systems. * Confident in fault‑finding on commercial boilers and gas controls. * Able to work independently and manage own workload.
