HR Assistant


We are recruiting a HR Advisor to support a family-run logistics business firm based in Wednesbury. The salary is from £32000 to £36000 The Role We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to take end-to-end responsibility for HR activity within a dedicated business area. Acting as the main HR contact, you’ll provide hands-on advisory support, oversee HR operations, and partner with managers to deliver consistent, compliant and commercially focused people solutions. Key Responsibilities * Act as the primary HR contact for an allocated business area * Lead employee relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, capability) * Provide expert advice on complex and sensitive people matters * Oversee HR operational activity, ensuring accurate and timely employee lifecycle processes * Coach and support managers in effective people management * Ensure compliance with UK employment law and internal policies * Support HR projects, change initiatives and continuous improvement * Produce HR metrics and insights to identify trends and risks The ideal candidate will have the following skills: * CIPD Level 5 qualified (minimum) * Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor role * Strong knowledge of UK employment law * Confident managing ER cases independently * Experience working with HR administration or shared service models * Strong relationship-building, communication and organisational skills Benefits * Company pension * Health & wellbeing programme * Company events * Free/on-site parking
