Teaching Assistant – Manchester Position: KS1 & KS2 Teaching Assistant Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester  Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time Contract: Long-term (ongoing role) Employer: Smile Education About the Role Smile Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Tameside. This is a full-time, long-term position with an ASAP start, supporting children in KS1 &KS2 with their learning and development. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality support, helping to create a positive learning environment and supporting the individual needs of pupils. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities Assist pupils with learning tasks and encourage participation Help to prepare resources and classroom materials Provide support to pupils with additional needs Encourage positive behaviour and support a safe learning environment Monitor and record pupil progress as directed by the teacher Support whole-class teaching and small group interventionsRequirements Previous experience working in a school or with children is desirable A passion for supporting children’s learning and development Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are preferred but not essentialWhat’s on Offer Full-time, long-term role ASAP start Supportive school environment Ongoing training and development opportunities Competitive pay rateHow to Apply If you’re interested in this role, please contact Smile Education today to submit your CV and register your interest.
