Senior Town Planner – Bristol Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE) An exciting opportunity has become available to join a design-led, progressive town planning consultancy as it continues to strengthen its presence in Bristol. This is a business where planning plays a central role in shaping high-quality development, working closely alongside architects and designers from the very earliest stages. You will become part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary studio environment, contributing to projects from initial concept through to successful planning outcomes. The role offers real variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to influence schemes both creatively and commercially. The Opportunity This position is ideal for an experienced Town Planner looking to step into a senior role within a private consultancy setting, though applicants with strong public sector experience are strongly encouraged to apply. You will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including strategic land, complex planning applications, and major developments. The successful candidate will be RTPI Chartered or actively working towards Chartership, with strong communication skills, confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders, and a collaborative, team-focused approach. In addition to project delivery, you will be encouraged to contribute to the ongoing growth and profile of the consultancy through client engagement, networking, and professional platforms such as LinkedIn. There is genuine scope to share ideas, influence decision-making, and help shape the wider direction of the practice.
