General Foreman

General Foreman – Freelance Experienced General Foreman required for a long-term freelance role on an interesting civils project in Sheffield. You'll play a key role in managing key civils and structural packages, taking the project through to its completion date in 2028. 📍Location – Sheffield 💼 Engagement – Outside IR35 / CIS 📅 Start – ASAP ⏳ Duration – 24 Months 💰 Rate - £330–£370/day Scope Includes: * Earthworks & drainage * Retaining structures & concrete works * Hard landscaping Role: * Oversee daily site operations and subcontractors * Drive progress and productivity to meet programme milestones * Maintain high HSE standards (toolbox talks, inductions, RAMS) * Liaise with engineers, supervisors & site management team * Maintain accurate records, reporting, and daily diaries Requirements: * CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid * Strong background managing groundworks, drainage, concrete and structural packages * Experience working on sites with archaeological, heritage or environmental constraints (or similar complex interfaces) * Confident reading drawings, coordinating subcontractors and supporting QA, ITPs and site records
