Electrical Shift Engineer (Client-Side) Location: Canary Wharf, London Salary: £58,000 per annum Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights) Bonus: Annual bonus Benefits: Private healthcare, gym membership, excellent wider benefits package An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a client-side engineering team at a prestigious, high-profile site in Canary Wharf. This role offers a strong basic salary, bonus, and market-leading benefits, along with the advantages of working directly for the end user rather than an FM provider. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems * Operate, maintain, and monitor LV electrical infrastructure including switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting, and emergency lighting * Electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and first-line response to faults * Ensure all work is completed in line with statutory regulations and site procedures * Complete permits, logbooks, and maintenance documentation accurately * Liaise closely with specialist subcontractors and internal stakeholders * Support continuous improvement and reliability of critical site systems Requirements * Proven experience as an Electrical Shift Engineer within a commercial or critical environment * Strong knowledge of building services electrical systems * Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential) * Experience on critical environments (banking, corporate HQ, data centre) is highly desirable * Comfortable working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days & nights) * Professional, client-focused approach with strong communication skills What’s on Offer * £58,000 basic salary * Annual bonus * 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (excellent work-life balance) * Client-side role with a high-profile organisation * Private healthcare * Gym membership * Excellent pension and holiday allowance * Long-term career stability and progression opportunities * This is an ideal role for an Electrical Shift Engineer looking to move client-side in Canary Wharf, benefit from a premium working environment, and enjoy an excellent salary and benefits package
