Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Full-time Location: Northeast Annual Salary £46,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus scheme Join our client's team as a Quantity Surveyor, where you will play a key role in managing procurement, cost control, financial reporting, and contractual administration across various development projects. This position requires effective collaboration with project teams, site staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and development partners to ensure commercial efficiency and project success. Day-to-Day of the Role: Schedule and quantify materials and labour to ensure project efficiency. Adhere to internal commercial procedures and operating frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance project viability and cost-effectiveness. Process applications, valuations, and payments; resolve financial queries in conjunction with finance teams. Assist with Work In Progress (WIP) and cash-flow forecasting. Monitor, reconcile, and recharge shared project costs. Calculate and report cost movements throughout project stages. Support the preparation and maintenance of project budgets using internal systems. Manage valuations and attend site-based commercial meetings. Process subcontractor and consultant orders, variations, and day works. Conduct monthly site valuations, Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), and prepare commercial reports. Produce cost-to-complete forecasts and final account projections.Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong understanding of construction cost management and regulations. Relevant industry qualification or equivalent experience. Proficient in managing internal and external stakeholders.
