Yard Operative & Delivery Driver

Yard Operative / Delivery Driver Pay: Hourly paid - Rate DOE Location: Albourne, West Sussex We are recruiting for a Yard Operative / Delivery Driver to join a successful Agricultural & Groundcare dealership in Albourne. This is a hands-on role combining yard duties, manual work, and local deliveries, supporting both depot presentation and customer service. The Role: Load and unload machinery safely (training provided) Deliver and collect machinery and parts using company vehicles (up to 3.5T flatbed) Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records Carry out basic vehicle checks and inspections Assist customers with machinery purchases or repairs Support stores operations and stock movements Undertake general yard duties including grounds maintenance, cleaning, painting, and basic assembly work Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed at all timesWhat We’re Looking For: Full UK driving licence (clean or minimal points) Previous delivery or yard experience preferred Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour Confident working outdoors in all weather conditions Good communication and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Trailer towing experience, forklift licence, or sector experience (horticultural, agricultural, construction) desirablePackage & Benefits Hours: 39 per week Mon–Thurs: 8am–5pm & Fri: 8am–4pm Overtime paid at time and a half after 39 hours Benefits: 32 days holiday (including bank holidays) Workplace pension Life assurance (2x salary) Company sick pay Apply today or get in touch with David @ Holt Recruitment on (phone number removed) to discuss further.
