This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where priorities can shift quickly. The business is looking for someone who enjoys momentum, can juggle multiple enquiries at once, and brings a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to their work. The role Working closely with both customers and internal teams, you’ll manage estimating activity from initial enquiry through to final quotation, ensuring a strong balance between technical accuracy and commercial awareness. Your responsibilities will include: Reviewing customer enquiries, drawings and specifications Producing accurate and timely costings for manufactured products used on construction projects Clarifying technical requirements with customers and internal stakeholders Managing multiple live enquiries while working to deadlines Maintaining pricing and enquiry information using internal systems Supporting ongoing improvements to estimating processes as the business continues to scale What we’re looking for This role will suit a driven, organised and people-focused individual who performs well in a busy environment. Experience in estimating, technical sales, or a similar commercial/technical role – we would consider engineers with pricing experience looking to move into a fully office based role A good technical understanding and confidence interpreting drawings or specifications Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail Good Excel skills The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders A proactive, respectful and career-minded approach A relevant degree (such as engineering, manufacturing or a related technical discipline) would be advantageous but is not essential.
