About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and creative English Teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons for students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, communication difficulties, and trauma-related behaviours. As part of a nurturing, multidisciplinary team, your role will involve: * Planning and teaching inspiring English lessons across Key Stages, tailored to individual learning needs. * Supporting pupils in developing literacy, comprehension, and confidence in spoken and written communication. * Providing constructive feedback to guide progress and celebrate achievement. * Creating a positive, therapeutic learning environment where every child feels valued and safe. * Working collaboratively with support staff and therapists to ensure holistic progress for each learner. Ideal Candidate: We’re looking for someone who is: * Qualified – holding QTS or QTLS (essential). * Experienced in SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision settings. * Passionate about supporting students who may have experienced barriers to learning. * Empathetic and patient, with a commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practice. * Collaborative, with a team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to a positive school culture.
