This is a 3 month fixed term contract. We are seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Quality Engineer to join our Quality Management team. This is a key role in driving continuous improvement across products, processes, and systems, with a strong focus on reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM). You'll be part of a collaborative environment where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering quality excellence and customer satisfaction. What You'll Be Doing Support and maintain quality systems to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Lead initiatives to reduce CoPQ by identifying inefficiencies, waste, and recurring quality issues. Monitor and analyse DPPM metrics, driving corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns. Facilitate root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and ensure timely closure of non‑conformances. Conduct audits, inspections, and process validations to uphold product and process integrity. Support new product introductions by ensuring quality requirements are met. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training, coaching, and awareness activities. Act as the primary liaison with Customer Services for managing and resolving customer returns. Investigate customer returns promptly, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Perform incoming goods inspections and on‑site product inspections when required. Execute internal audits and Factory Production Control (FPC) audits according to schedule. Report quality issues, adverse trends, and corrective actions to stakeholders in a timely, data‑driven manner. Skills & Experience Required Prior experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Competence in metrology and precision measuring equipment. Certified or experienced Internal Auditor (ISO 9001 or equivalent). Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience (e.g., AX) is advantageous. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Effective team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
