Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant Location: Fully Remote (UK-wide) Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + Excellent Benefits A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Principal Air Quality Consultant to enhance and expand its national air quality capability. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned, commercially focused professional to step into a senior role that combines technical leadership, strategic direction, and client growth. You will play a pivotal role in delivering complex air quality and dispersion modelling projects, collaborating with clients and regulators, and helping to shape the long-term vision for the team. The Role As a senior member of the team, you'll oversee significant air quality projects across the UK, ensuring high-quality outputs while fostering strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. You'll support the growth of the team, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to the consultancy's continued success within the air quality market. Key Responsibilities Lead delivery of major air quality and dispersion modelling projects Provide expert technical input to EIAs and wider environmental assessments Maintain and grow client relationships; identify and pursue new business opportunities Prepare tenders, proposals, and strategic business plans Mentor and support junior and mid-level consultants Work closely with regulators, planning authorities and multidisciplinary teams About You At least 8 years' experience in air quality consultancy or a related regulatory discipline Strong technical knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance Demonstrated success in business development and client management Confident leadership skills with experience supporting or managing teams Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Chemistry, or similar Chartered status (CEnv / IAQM) advantageous Excellent communication, organisation, and commercial acumen What's on Offer Fully remote position - work from anywhere in the UK Flexible working and a strong commitment to work-life balance Competitive salary of £60,000-£70,000 DOE Private medical insurance, pension scheme and performance-related bonus Clear career progression pathways with ongoing professional development If you're an ambitious air quality specialist looking to lead, inspire and contribute to the growth of a national team, we'd love to hear from you.
