Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 Location: London Contract: Permanent, Full Time Overview Alpinefox Recruitment is supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in their search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. What You’ll Be Doing Preparing, negotiating and analysing budgets and cost plans. Ensuring all subcontractors are fully pre-qualified and compliant. Procuring subcontractors and preparing relevant order documentation. Assessing and certifying subcontractor interim payments, including issuing Payer/Pay-Less notices. Providing advice on contractual and legal matters, identifying and mitigating commercial risks. Producing and presenting monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs). Building, maintaining and strengthening relationships across project and commercial teams. Allocating, overseeing and evaluating work carried out by yourself and others. Supporting the wider commercial team and mentoring Quantity Surveyors. Ensuring effective communication between commercial and operational site teams. Attending site regularly as required. What We’re Looking For Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor (or equivalent). Strong civil engineering project experience. Excellent working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract. High-level commercial awareness and contract understanding. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Highly organised, able to prioritise and meet deadlines. Excellent numerical, IT and problem-solving abilities. Willing to travel to sites across the region
