Responsibilities may include: • Supporting pupils in both the inclusion room and mainstream class • Using visuals—such as core boards—to aid communication and learning • Implementing behaviour strategies aligned with individual needs • Working across classes rather than in a solely 1:1 capacity • Using initiative to support both staff and pupils in a fast-paced environment • Adapting quickly to different age groups and learning styles Children’s needs are wide-ranging, and the school ensures the right match by discussing specifics during trial days.
