Freelance Site Manager – Housing Development  Contract: Freelance  Location: Teesside  Start: ASAP We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee day-to-day operations on a residential housing development in the Teesside area. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, organised professional who can maintain high standards, keep the project running smoothly, and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements. Responsibilities: Manage daily site operations and coordinate all trades and subcontractors Ensure work is carried out safely, on schedule, and to specification Monitor quality control and carry out inspections Maintain site records, paperwork, and progress reports Liaise with project managers, clients, local authorities, and suppliers Identify and resolve issues promptly to keep the build on track Uphold site safety protocols and enforce H&S regulations Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Manager within the residential / housing sector Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and regulations SMSTS Required CSCS card First Aid certification Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple trades at once Own transport and full UK right to work
