Production Technician - Mon to Fri Day Shift

This job is with a pioneering marine engineering company, designing and manufacturing high-performance diesel outboard engines.  They’ve been refining engineering solutions for unrefined environments since 2009, and now they’re looking for a skilled Production Technician to join their growing team. What's the job? As part of the production team, you’ll assemble, test, and prepare engines, gearboxes, and mechanical assemblies to the highest standards.  You’ll follow established procedures, record accurate build data, support continuous improvement, and help ensure products leave the workshop meeting every quality, safety, and performance expectation. This job is based in Lewes, East Sussex - easily commutable from Brighton, Haywards Heath, Worthing, Eastbourne, Newhaven, Burgess Hill, Uckfield, etc. What you need: Experience in mechanical assembly—ideally with engines or similar systems. Solid understanding of internal combustion engines (diesel & petrol). Ability to read engineering drawings and use diagnostic/test equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail. Confident with hand tools and production equipment. Team-focused, reliable, adaptable, and safety-driven. Bonus points for: Level 3 engineering qualifications, automotive or marine experience, or knowledge of continuous improvement practices.
