Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a proven track record of working across and driving improvements for current production, supply chain and launch quality. You will play a pivotal role in developing new and existing processes, implementing systems and ensuring products exceed quality standards, meet safety regulations, delight customers and achieve on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities: Work cross-functionally across Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Supply Chain and Purchasing, supporting manufacturing readiness to achieve on-time customer order dates Ensure relevant quality controls are implemented at the correct stage of processes to deliver required design data and customer requirements Support supplier operational, technical, health, safety and environmental audits in line with the supply chain audit calendar Drive supplier quality improvements and coach suppliers to enhance capability Work proactively with supply chain to anticipate and react to potential high-impact quality issues that may affect quality and customer delivery schedules Participate in early stages of new product development/maturity gates, using APQP principles to maximise product robustness and validate APQP activities meet customer requirements Support the creation of PFMEAs and take responsibility for creating pre-launch and production control plans Support all production builds/quality loops, capturing build issues relating to process, parts and design, and drive the quality improvement roadmap to achieve required launch metrics Champion and lead problem-solving activities for internal quality issues, supplier quality, non-conformance and customer complaint investigations, ensuring robust containment and resolution with appropriate documentation and escalation Monitor production scrap and Right First Time (RFT) metrics and drive improvements Cultivate a quality-first mindset across the team Apply lean principles, tools and methodologies to thinking and processes Capture lessons learned from current production, supply chain and launch activities, driving preventative and improvement actions to standards and procedures The Ideal Candidate: Essential: Quality experience across current production, supply chain and launch quality An analytical mindset with a passion for quality, problem-solving and continuous improvement Self-driven, flexible, adaptable, organised individual who uses initiative and can work at pace under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage at all levels Desirable: Degree in Engineering Awareness/working knowledge of AS9100 and Part 21 Sub Part G and J requirements Training or experience in FMEA, MSA, APQP, or PPAP Proficiency in Excel and other tools Automotive sector experience If you are a supply chain quality engineer with experience in launch quality we want to hear from you.
