Hair & Beauty Instructor - Alternative Provision Location: Preston Days: Monday - Thursday Start: As soon as possible Contract: Part-time, long-term Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a creative, engaging and confident Hair and Beauty Instructor to join a dynamic Alternative Provision setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about vocational learning and supporting young people who may not thrive in mainstream education. About the Role In this role, you will: Deliver engaging Hair and Beauty sessions to small groups of learners Teach practical skills such as styling, basic treatments, hygiene and salon standards Motivate and inspire learners who may have SEMH needs or barriers to learning Provide a nurturing, patient and encouraging environment Plan and deliver lessons that build confidence, skills and employability Work collaboratively with pastoral and behaviour teams to support individual needsThe Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience teaching or delivering Hair & Beauty in a school, college, salon or training setting Relevant qualifications in Hair and Beauty Experience working with young people, ideally in alternative or SEMH settings A positive, resilient and flexible approach Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills A commitment to safeguarding and supporting every learner's progressWhat Tradewind Offer: Competitive pay rates A dedicated consultant throughout your placement Access to free CPD and professional development Support with your DBS and compliance Opportunities for long-term or permanent rolesIf you are passionate about vocational education and want to support young people in a setting where creativity and encouragement make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
