Warehouse Operative Required - PERMANENT ** £26KPA Hours: Mon–Fri, 9:30am–5:30pm (40 hrs) Salary: £26,000+ per annum (DOE) + performance-based bonus Contract: Full-time, permanent with an initial 3 month probationary period | Start: ASAP My client based in Beckenham are a fast-growing family run wholesale distributor. They are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Operator to run daily orders and help build fulfilment processes from the ground up—SOPs, bin locations, courier workflows. Daily Task for the warehouse role include: Day-to-day orders: Monitor online orders; batch, prioritise, and process orders to daily cut-offs. Pick & pack: Accurate picking (barcode/WMS), secure packing, print labels/invoices. Dispatch & couriers: Set up and book Royal Mail/Evri/DPD, generate manifests, chase failed scans. Inventory setup & control: Create bin locations, receive deliveries, put-away, cycle counts, stock adjustments. Listings basics: Tidy titles/item specifics, shipping templates, multi-quantity listings; flag issues to the team. Customer messaging: Polite, timely replies for “Where is my order?”, returns/exchanges, simple product queries. Returns/RMAs: Inspect, restock/quarantine, process refunds/replacements per policy. Essential to have a ≥99.5% pick/pack accuracy | Same-day dispatch before cut-off <1% late shipment rate | Tight stock accuracy via weekly cycle counts You’ll thrive in the Warehouse Operative role if you * Enjoy start-up energy: proactive, tidy, organised and happy to build structure * Have e-commerce/warehouse experience (eBay/Amazon/Shopify helpful but not essential) * Are comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, label printers & barcode scanners * Communicate clearly in writing and in person * Can lift/move boxes (up to ~15kg) and stay on your feet most of the day Nice-to-haves 1. Experience with Royal Mail, Evri, DPD, Amazon portals 2. Basic product photography/listing skills 3. Previous fulfilment or retail back-of-house experience 4.
