Ladieswear Garment Technologist Full-time position, Temporary to cover maternity leave – maximum of 12 months FTC Salary – Negotiable depending on experience Location:  London, W1W The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic Garment Technologist to join our Team.  This is a busy role and would someone looking to develop within a dynamic and growing wholesale clothing company.  We are very looking for a candidate who will develop and grow within our existing experienced team.  Main duties/responsibilities Working on the following ladieswear categories; wovens, jerseys, loungewear, nightwear, swimwear, underwear. Working closely with design and merchandising teams on a daily basis, providing technical advice from initial design through to bulk production, ensuring garments are fitting correctly, fit for use and produced to a high standard.  Working closely with suppliers/factories on a daily basis, maintaining good working relationships and communication and to resolve any production issues quickly and efficiently.  Creating technical spec`s from original samples or design CADs.  Measuring of samples from 1st fit stage through to bulk production.  Managing of the fit process from 1st fit through to production approval.  Leading fit sessions with design team and independently.  Sending clear fit comments with fully amended specs / images / drawings to factories and to ensure high standard is maintained.  Advising on grading for bulk production.  Production sample approvals.  Working to a clear critical path and liaising with merchandising teams where needed.  Managing own workload to ensure critical path dates are maintained and delays are avoided.  To advise suppliers on testing requirements, including base testing and chemical restrictions.  Checking and approving of test reports. Creating wash care label layouts with relevant wash instructions based on test report results. Actioning in house testing if necessary.  Looking after customer accounts – Asos / M&M, as well as own brand stock. Skills required Good all round admin skills Microsoft office experience Organized Accurate with their work Enthusiastic to learn, Must be able to work well within a team environment Previous experience within a similar environment is essential Must be eligible to work in the UK as visa sponsorship can’t be provided. This is a fully office-based role – x5 days a week, although there is some flexibility surrounding actual working hours
