We are working with a well-established consultancy services business, and they are looking for an experienced People Director to join the business ASAP for a 1-year Fixed Contract. The role is fully flexible and can be office or home based. Reporting into the MD and working as part of the senior leadership team, the focus of the role is to provide support to c170 permanent employees and c250 up to 1000 casual workers, providing an operational and strategic HR service to the business. This will include supporting and leading on a number of ongoing HR projects, delivering and enhancing the people strategy, supporting with talent, employee engagement, employee relations and overseeing the People team. Key duties will include; * Reporting into the MD and working as part of the senior team, leading the People team of 4 people and providing HR support to c170 permanent employees and c(Apply online only) casual workers * Lead and deliver the People Strategy for the business, working to achieve key objectives and managing key projects * Lead role in strengthening the organisational culture, ensuring that the company values and approach are displayed. * Oversee and manage the People team, promoting effective and efficient delivery and development across the team. * Manage and lead on various HR projects and initiatives, including the development/ appraisal process, employee engagement survey and review of HR policies to ensure compliance with new employment legislation * Facilitate various employee feedback channels, including the bi-annual engagement survey and employee forum’s etc * Deliver on the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda, including annual pay gap reporting. * Facilitate positive wellbeing at work in conjunction with the wellbeing committee. * Ensure that the company complies with upcoming employment legislation changes in regard to zero-hour contracts for flexible / casual employees * Support the business with the review of the Four-Day working week trial, including navigating the next steps for the business. * Provide advice and guidance on ER cases, leading on complex and escalated employee relations cases * Support the Talent Acquisition Partner with guidance, feedback and discussion on recruitment activity. * Oversee and involvement in all operational HR activities, in addition to ensuring the smooth running of the office For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level and ideally hold experience within a sector that has a fluctuating flexible workforce. This role is both operational and strategic, so candidates need to be able to implement an effective HR strategy, whilst being hands on with operational HR. The role will work as part of the Senior leadership team, were you will have input on commercial business initiatives, so candidates will need to hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
