Assistant Management Accountant | £32,000 - £36,000 + Study | Chorley (office-based) | Fast-paced, acquisitive business | Fantastic team and office culture Axon Moore are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a high-growth business in their search for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant who is looking to take ownership for the production of monthly management accounts and support with financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Assist preparing monthly management accounts, i.e. accruals, prepayments and journals Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Assist in producing financial reports, dashboards and KPI reports for internal stakeholders Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, analysis and modelling Assist monitoring actual performance vs budgets and forecasts, highlighting key variances Provide analysis to help drive business performance and identify cost-saving opportunities Assist in profitability analysis, cost allocation and departmental reporting Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial insights and aid decision-making Assist with audits by preparing schedules and providing relevant documentation Contribute to improving financial processes and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency Support automation and digitalisation initiatives within the finance function Other ad-hoc duties  Required Skills and Experience: 1 years’ experience in a similar role Actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA or AAT Strong IT and Excel skills (D365 Business Central and Sage desired) An ability to meet deadlines and efficiently prioritise workload Solid understanding of accounting principles, i.e. double entry Benefits: 37.5hrs p/week (10am-4pm core hours) flexibility on hours 30 days annual leave (inc.
