Position: English Teacher (KS3 & KS4) Location: Lambeth, London Contract: Fixed-Term (January - July) Salary: London MPS/UPS As a Secondary English Teacher on supply contract for this Client, you will: Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Demonstrate a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks Use a range of teaching strategies to support learners of varying abilities, including those with additional needs Adapt confidently to new classroom environments and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning culture To be successful in this role, you will need: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK teaching qualification Experience teaching English at KS3 & KS4 Strong behaviour and classroom management skills, with the ability to create a purposeful learning environment A secure understanding of planning, marking, and differentiation Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) and overseas police checks if applicable Professional references covering the last 10 years where possible Legal right to work in the UK This Client is a co-educational, non-selective secondary school and sixth form in Lambeth, supporting students aged 11-19. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged Good in all areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and sixth-form provision. Inspectors highlighted a strong curriculum and noted that students feel safe and well supported. They also observed that while behaviour expectations are clear, low-level disruption can occasionally impact lessons when the policy isn't consistently applied.
