Acoustic Consultant Location: Belfast Salary: £35,000-£45,000 + Benefits A leading acoustics and environmental consultancy is looking for an experienced Acoustic Consultant to join their growing Belfast team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of building and environmental acoustics projects across the UK and Ireland, collaborating with a knowledgeable, supportive, and expanding team. In this role, you'll contribute to projects across residential, commercial, education, infrastructure, and industrial sectors-delivering practical, innovative, and sustainable acoustic solutions from early design stages through to completion. What's on Offer Competitive salary £35,000-£45,000 (DOE) Permanent, full-time role with hybrid working 25+ days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension, private healthcare, and professional membership support Clear career progression pathways within a growing consultancy Key Responsibilities Deliver building acoustics design and environmental noise assessments Undertake noise and vibration monitoring, modelling, and analysis Prepare high-quality technical reports and acoustic assessments Liaise effectively with clients, planners, and multi-disciplinary design teams Support business development and provide mentorship to junior staff About You Degree in Acoustics, Physics, or a related field 2-5 years' experience in building and/or environmental acoustics Proficiency with acoustic modelling software (SoundPLAN, CadnaA, INSUL, CATT, Odeon) Strong knowledge of UK acoustic standards and guidance (BS4142, BS8233, ProPG) Excellent communication, report writing, and client-facing skills IOA membership (MIOA or working towards) Full UK driving licence If you're interested in this role, or exploring wider opportunities in Acoustics or Environmental Consultancy-please contact Abi King at Penguin Recruitment.
