Contract options are recruiting for General Assistants across London for daily supply, short term and long term contracts for a number of clients. All London locations .To find out moreinformation on the locations please contact us As a General Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the safe preparation, presentation, and serving of meals , alongside basic food preparation, .You will ensure that diners receive nutritious, well-presented meals that reflect their individual preferences and dietary needs. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment. Duties to include: * Basic food preparation * Plating, and serving meals ensuring presentation standards are met. * To fill in all necessary legal paperwork where required, i.e. cleaning schedules, temperatures and health and safety paperwork. * Stock control and ordering of food and catering supplies. * Cleaning down and resetting tables * Prepare food orders in accordance with individual preferences and dietary requirements. * Ensuring meals are served correctly and promptly. * Food service * Helping in the kitchen and supporting chefs and other kitchen or service staff * To collaborate with the wider team to ensure the dining experience meets company standards and core values. * To greet diners and show them to their seats * Take orders * To wash all dirty cooking utensils, crockery, pots and pans using correct machinery and detergents and also wash up by hand when necessary. What we're looking for: * 1 years experience minimum in a similar role * Enhanced DBS certificate for schools or willingness to get one, or a basic disclosure for other clients or willingness to get one. * Level 2 food safety and allergens certificate or willingness to complete * Passionate about working in hospitality * Experience and knowledge of preparing and cooking food. * Great eye for detail * Enjoys and wants to be an active member of a team * Excellent verbal communication * An understanding of what amazing service looks like * Happy to help where needed * To be part of a busy kitchen team Whether you are looking for full time hours or looking to top up your currently employment hours this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
