We are seeking experienced, highly skilled clinicians to join this exciting new service and contribute to developing a high-quality breast imaging and diagnostic pathway. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in shaping a new clinical service — ideal for consultants who thrive in innovative, patient-centred environments. Available Roles * Breast Radiologist (IMC-registered – urgent requirement) * Breast Surgeon * Breast Radiographer / Mammographer (supportive requirement – desirable but not essential at this stage) There is a particular need for 1–2 experienced Breast Radiologists, ideally with prior experience in both symptomatic and screening environments. Key Responsibilities Breast Radiologist * Perform and interpret mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI * Undertake stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and vacuum-assisted biopsies * Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings * Contribute to the design and workflow of the new breast imaging service * Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality Breast Surgeon * Provide expert assessment and management of patients with breast disease * Perform oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery where appropriate * Collaborate closely with radiology and pathology colleagues in MDT settings * Support service design, patient pathway optimisation, and clinical governance Key Skills and Experience Essential * Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) or GMC * Extensive experience in breast imaging or breast surgery * Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills * Commitment to patient-centred care and service development * Excellent communication and teamwork skills Desirable * Fellowship in Breast Radiology or Oncoplastic Breast Surgery * Previous experience in service setup or redesign * Competence in image-guided interventions and multidisciplinary collaboration Why Join Locum Vision * Be at the forefront of a brand-new service launch in Northern Ireland * Competitive locum rates with flexible terms * Travel and accommodation assistance where required * Dedicated recruitment and compliance support from our specialist medical division Apply Now If you are an experienced Breast Radiologist or Breast Surgeon and would like to be part of establishing this vital new service, we’d love to hear from you
