Shunter Driver

We are recruiting for a Shunter Driver to work Nights 4 on/ 4 off 6pm-6am (Apply online only)) for a logistics company based in Lutterworth. This is an ongoing temporary role with a pay rate of £16.31 per hour.  As a Shunter Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of trailer movements and logistics, adhering to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Your role will involve the following:  Trailer Placement: Accurately position trailers in designated areas as per instructions. Safety Checks: Conduct thorough safety inspections as mandated by the company. Incident Reporting: Promptly report any defects, accident damage, or incidents. Professional Conduct: Communicate courteously and professionally with colleagues. Speed Monitoring: Report any breaches in speed limits by drivers and subcontractors. Housekeeping: Maintain vehicle parking area layouts and report any debris issues to the site services team. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation and company standards. Skills and Experience Required: Previous experience in a Shunter Driver role  In date Accredited Shunter Certificate (RTITB/ ITSARR)  Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly address and resolve issues as they arise. Professionalism: Consistent demonstration of a professional and courteous demeanour. Health & Safety Awareness: Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
