Business Development Executive – CNC Machine Tools / Tooling / Workholding Midlands (Hybrid field-based role) £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) The Opportunity A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Executive to join a leading engineering organisation specialising in CNC machinery, tooling, and advanced manufacturing solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in technical sales or marketing within the CNC machine tool, tooling, or workholding sectors. You’ll play a key part in driving new business, developing strategic campaigns, and supporting the UK sales operation to achieve ambitious growth plans. Role Overview You’ll combine deep industry knowledge with strong commercial acumen to identify opportunities, build lasting relationships, and help shape strategic direction. Working closely with senior management, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving market penetration, aligning sales activity, and enhancing the company’s presence within the UK manufacturing sector. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement sales and business development initiatives across the UK * Identify and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity * Generate new business opportunities within CNC machining, tooling, and workholding * Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, end users, and distributors * Create targeted marketing campaigns and technical sales collateral * Support regional sales teams with competitor insight, customer intelligence, and CRM data * Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows, and industry networking events * Collaborate across sales, marketing, and engineering teams to drive growth and consistency * Monitor sales performance and continuously improve outreach strategies About You * Proven background in CNC machine tools, tooling, or workholding (essential) * 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills * Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on new market opportunities * Confident using CRM systems, LinkedIn, and digital tools for lead generation * Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, target-driven environment * Engineering qualification or technical understanding of machining processes desirable What’s on Offer * £50,000 – £60,000 per annum depending on experience * Permanent position with clear progression routes * Hybrid / field-based role covering the UK * Opportunity to represent a respected name in advanced manufacturing * Supportive and forward-thinking commercial environment How to Apply Apply today with your CV – interviews available immediately for candidates from CNC, tooling, or workholding backgrounds
