Design Engineer - Mechanical & Electrical Location: Lancashire Salary: Up to £45,000 Type: Permanent | Full-time About the Role: We are looking for a Design Engineer to join a leading engineering business delivering high-quality electrical and mechanical solutions. This role involves working on LV switchgear, electrical enclosures, and mechanical designs, with a strong focus on new product development. You will adapt drawings, implement small design changes, and support the creation of innovative products that meet client and installer needs. You will use 3D CAD software (Creo) to develop and modify designs while contributing to both existing product improvements and exciting new projects. Key Responsibilities: Design and adapt drawings for switchgear, enclosures, and wiring schematics Produce and modify 3D CAD models using Creo Lead and contribute to new product development projects Implement design changes and small adaptations to existing products Collaborate with engineering and production teams to deliver high-quality solutions About You: Experience in electrical and mechanical design (switchgear preferred) Proficient in 3D CAD software (ideally Creo) Ability to interpret and update wiring schematics and engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to new product development What's on Offer: Competitive salary, depending on experience Work as part of a friendly, skilled engineering team driving innovation and delivering high-quality LV solutions
