Customer Care Operative – Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire & Leicestershire We’re seeking a versatile and customer-focused trades professional to join our team, working across the North Midlands, including Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, and Leicestershire. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workload, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and delivers a first-rate service to homeowners. Day-to-Day Responsibilities * Deliver all repairs and maintenance tasks to a consistently high standard. * Communicate clearly with customers, keeping them updated as work progresses. * Take ownership of each job, ensuring it’s completed safely, tidily, and on time. * Work closely with office-based colleagues to report any recurring or technical issues. * Organise materials and resources effectively to minimise downtime. * Keep vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, well-stocked, and ready for use. * Follow all relevant safety procedures and site requirements. * Use initiative and experience to resolve issues independently and support the wider team. What We’re Looking For Experience & Background * Skilled in a core trade, with additional experience across other disciplines. * Previous work in property maintenance, housebuilding, or customer aftercare preferred. Key Skills * Strong practical knowledge of building standards and repair methods. * Confident diagnosing and fixing issues with minimal disruption. * Excellent communication and organisation skills. * Capable of managing time effectively across multiple locations. * Familiar with NHBC or similar residential build standards. Personal Qualities * Professional, approachable, and respectful in customers’ homes. * Takes pride in leaving every job clean, safe, and finished to a high quality. * Positive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive in finding solutions
