About the Role As an ALN Support Assistant, you’ll be part of a dedicated team helping pupils reach their full potential — both academically and personally. You’ll provide tailored support in the classroom and during wider school activities, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive. Key responsibilities include: Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs. Assisting with personal care and promoting independence and confidence. Supporting teaching staff in creating an engaging, nurturing learning environment. Implementing behaviour support plans and communication strategies. Using manual handling techniques safely and effectively where required. What We’re Looking For Experience in a similar role within education or care (e.g. community care, support work, personal assistant, or home help). A compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude. Knowledge of manual handling procedures (training can be provided). An Enhanced DBS (we can help you obtain this if needed).
