Setting: Primary Schools Full-Time Daily Rate: 90- 110

Empowering Learning is proud to be working with a SEN School in the South Shields area , and we're on the lookout for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team.

This is a full-time position -perfect for those with a background in education who are committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

About the Role:

You will play a vital role in supporting pupils on the Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) aged between 3 and 11 years old

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 or small group support tailored to individual learning needs
• Implementing EHCP strategies in collaboration with SENCOs and teaching staff
• Using creative and adaptive approaches to engage children in the classroom
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

About You:

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in a school setting , ideally with previous work supporting children with Autism
• Confident and compassionate , with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children
• Resilient and proactive, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledgeable about safeguarding and child development
• Comfortable supporting with personal care, where needed

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Team Teach, or similar)
