PSR Solutions are currently working with a Tier 1 Contractor within the Rail industry. They are looking to bring in a Permanent Site Agent on a project in Birmingham. Purpose of the Role - Site Agent The Site Agent is responsible for leading and managing construction site operations to ensure the successful delivery of projects in line with client objectives. This role demands a strong focus on health and safety, environmental compliance, quality assurance, programme delivery, and cost control. Working collaboratively with the commercial team, engineers, and surveyors, the Site Agent will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the required specifications. The role also involves maximising commercial performance, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and fostering strong client relationships to meet or exceed customer expectations. โœ… Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability ๐Ÿ”ง Site Management & Delivery Manage site operations efficiently and safely Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and defect-free Shared responsibility for project success across the team Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards ๐Ÿ“‹ Planning & Documentation Produce and implement: Project Plans RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) Waste Management Plans Assist with: Project programme development Procurement schedules and resource planning ๐Ÿงพ Cost Control Contribute to cost plans and project value maximization Maintain accurate site records and diaries Challenge costs and seek value engineering opportunities ๐Ÿ’ฌ Client & Stakeholder Interface Act as a company ambassador to clients and stakeholders Ensure customer satisfaction with end product Liaise with local authorities and manage client expectations ๐Ÿ“Š Reporting Generate quality weekly and monthly progress reports Support Project/Senior Manager with accurate data and updates Attend and contribute to site meetings ๐Ÿ“ˆ Performance Targets Meet reporting and operational deadlines Achieve KRAs (Key Result Areas) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) Flexible to organisational change and additional duties as needed ๐Ÿ‘ค Person Specification ๐Ÿ“š Experience & Knowledge Strong background in construction and civil engineering site management Proven experience in: Design & Build projects Highways, concrete, drainage, transportation, structures Cost control and procurement of construction packages Client engagement and authority liaison Familiar with: Rail, highway, and utility environments Commercial reporting and finance systems CDM regulations, risk, design and programme management Testing and specification standards in civil engineering ๐Ÿ’ป Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) (Desirable) Primavera P6 knowledge ๐Ÿง  Personal Skills Strong leadership and team management Excellent communication skills Ability to resolve design issues and drive solutions Demonstrates alignment with company values and safety culture ๐ŸŽ“ Qualifications Required CSCS Manager Card IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS Desirable Temporary Works Co-ordinator Appointed Person qualification CEng MICE or equivalent Confined Space Training First Aid at Work NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act certification) Contact Dan Confrey for more information
